Terms of service

Last updated: 10 September 2026

These terms govern your use of Pixels to Inches (the “Site”). By using the Site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Site.

1. Who operates the Site

The Site is published under the name Pixels to Inches and is reachable at hello@pixelstoinches.com, which is the correct address for every question on this page. It is a free utility rather than a commercial service: there is no account, no subscription, no payment and nothing is sold to you.

2. What the Site provides

Free unit-conversion calculators and reference material. Everything is offered as-is, for informational purposes, with no obligation on us to keep any particular feature, page or calculator available.

3. Accuracy and professional judgement

The conversions follow published definitions — the ones listed on the about page — and the arithmetic is stated openly on each page so you can check it. Even so, a correct calculation is not the same as a correct decision: the result depends on the values you enter and on judgements about pixel density, viewing distance, printer behaviour, ink and paper stock that only you can make.

Verify critical work with a test print before committing to a production run. We are not responsible for reprints, missed deadlines, wasted stock or other costs arising from reliance on a calculated value. If you believe a figure is wrong, please report it — that is the mechanism by which it gets fixed.

4. Acceptable use

5. Your content

You grant us no licence over anything you enter, because nothing you enter reaches us. Values typed into a calculator, and any image opened in the DPI checker, are processed entirely in your browser and are never transmitted or stored. You remain solely responsible for the files you open on your own device and for having the right to use them. The privacy page sets this out in full.

6. Intellectual property

The Site's design, code and written guides belong to Pixels to Inches. Conversion values themselves are mathematical facts and are free for anyone to use, quote or reproduce without permission or attribution. For our written text, quote it with attribution and a link back to the Site.

7. Third-party services

Web fonts are served by Google Fonts, and Google's own terms and privacy policy apply to that service. The Site is hosted by Vercel, whose terms apply to the hosting. The contact form uses your own email application and involves no third-party form provider. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we do not control and are not responsible for their content.

8. Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Site may be changed, suspended or withdrawn at any time without notice.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pixels to Inches is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of the Site. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The revision date at the top of this page always reflects the current version, and continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
